We’ve already switched our seasonal menu to actually fit the coming season, Spring! Within the next few days the website’s menu will be updated and redone to even show off some photos of items from our menu!

“Try the Apple Cider Braised Mussels… This dish was outstanding in every way. The mussels were small and, thus, sweet, without one bit of grit. They were swimming in a sweet and savory broth, with chunks of fresh apple; smoked, crispy bacon and fresh herbs.”

Talking about our Cider Brined Grilled Chicken the writer says:

“The nicely grilled chicken breast was tender and infused with the sweet apple flavor of the reduction. The potatoes were a nice, lighter switch from regular mashed – hearty without being laden with butter. The steamed broccoli, while fresh, could have used a little something to brighten the flavor.”

The old red caboose that is part of the property will once again take diners on a culinary journey — not to France, but this time much closer. Josh and Danielle, who could be the poster couple for the buy local movement, plan to provide the same healthy style of cooking using free range and mostly locally sourced organic produce. Lunch will offer a few of the Seedling favorite wraps and a full range of salads, including one with baby spinach, fresh avocado, roasted corn, grape tomatoes, free-range eggs and gorgonzola cheese with a poached apple dressing.

But dinner is where Josh has been longing to go. This route will enable Josh to use his creative juices in a nighttime venue. It just wasn’t possible to really cook at the Seedling — the kitchen only had an electric stove.

As far as the menu, we are putting the finishing touches on them and you can look forward to delicious wraps, sandwiches, soups and salads. And we’re excited to be building our dinner menu which will have a variety of dishes using the freshest ingredients local farmers can provide. We will also be offering a nutrition conscious catering menu to accompany all of our dishes that are available for takeout.

We’re also excited to be bringing back the popular ice cream stand this spring!
